Menu Bar¶

The user interface contains a menu bar at the top of the main window (Figure 1). The actions in the menu bar are for various global tasks like loading and saving files, and also for tasks the pertain to the currently loaded project. Here, we explain the actions available in each sub-menu.

File¶

The File menu is where a user can start with a new project, save their work, load(import) or export a project, and quit FrackOptima. Save saves the current project in the fo (FrackOptima) file format inside the working directory. Save as saves the current project file to another file with a different name, but all the same project input parameters remain the same. This is especially useful when a user simply wants to make slight modification on a copy of a project. In this way, the user simply save as the current project file to another one, on which the modification then is made.

The import/export actions are covered in the Project Import/Export section.

Tools¶

The Tools menu holds the data management dialog as well as an action to load examples. For information on the Manage Data action, see Data Management. The Import Examples action imports all of the default example projects into your current working directory. This is useful in case you delete some examples, or you never imported them in the first place.

Options¶

The Options menu allows users to customize the look of the user interface and allows them to add plot unit profiles.

Themes are covered in the UI Themes section.

Debug¶

The Debug menu enables the Remote Simulation.

Help¶

The Help menu holds miscellaneous informational actions. The About action shows a dialog containing the currently installed version of FrackOptima. The Help action opens this help menu in offline mode. The Report Bug opens a browser window to our Support Website, where you can interact with us to fix bugs or problems you have with FrackOptima. The Activate FrackOptima action opens the product key dialog, where you can change or view your product key.
